Yayasan CARE Peduli (YCP) conducted a learning forum with men’s groups to raise gender awareness in Bumi Kencana Village and Sri Mulyo Village, Musi Banyuasin Regency. This activity aims to increase the understanding of community leaders and men’s groups regarding the gender gap and its negative impact on women, children and vulnerable groups.

This activity was held on 18-19 March 2023 with a total of 58 participants and aims to enhance public awareness in order to foster a gender-responsive culture within families, communities, and the government.

This collaborative learning forum was organized with the support from the National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan), led by the National Supervisory Board for Komnas Perempuan as the facilitator of this activity. In addition to sharing experiences, the facilitator uses the role-playing method to help participants increase their confidence in understanding and implementing good practices of gender justice, within families or households.
