Aligned with the CARE 2030 vision, CARE Indonesia strives to make significant contributions to poverty eradication, fulfil social justice, and triple planetary crises, all in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the core of our programs is a dedicated commitment to gender equality (SDG 5), which permeates all of our efforts. By 2030, CARE Indonesia aims to contribute to the CARE 2030 vision, quantifiably improving lives across various impact areas and the Government of Indonesia’s priorities as outlined in the Midterm Development Planning and other relevant national strategic documents, such as Indonesia’s Nationally Determined Contribution, National Strategy on Accelerating Gender Mainstreaming, National Action Plan to Reduce Marine Plastic Debris, Blue Economy Framework, Circular Economy, and National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan.

Empowers individuals to elevate their consciousness, self-esteem, and confidence while equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and capabilities needed to impact their world positively

Tackles persistent inequality across intimate relations, family dynamics, social and political networks, marketplaces, and community groups, recognizing that lasting change is achieved when there is collective support

Advocates against discriminatory laws and for new laws and policies to reduce discrimination and works with communities and power holders to critically reflect on and transform the norms and practices perpetuating injustice

Promotes empowerment, working with partners to complement the approaches, scaling up effective solutions, and a demonstrated responsibility to fulfil rights and reduce poverty

Recognizes the significance of innovation in effectively addressing planetary crises, gender equality and equity, climate-induced disasters, natural shocks, economic challenges, and health crises to ensure increased efficiency and resilience
