The PACE program has been carried out since 2018, currently entering phase 3 and is the last year this program has been carried out in Bandung Regency. In 2022 the capacity building activities carried out include training and learning the integrated PACE module with Counseling Guidance subjects in 30 pilot schools in Bandung Regency. From the learning of the PACE module integrated with the subject, there were 2,234 junior high school students, and 796 junior high school students who succeeded through the module learning consisting of 30 sessions.
YCP also held discussions with children who had participated in the integrated PACE module learning with the Counseling Guidance subject, namely at SMPN 1 Pasir Jambu, SMPN 1 Ciwidey, SMPN 1 Katapang, and SMPN 2 Margaasih. There were about 20 children in each school who were actively involved in the discussion. In this discussion, the majority of children said that they felt more confident to express their opinions, both at school and in the family after participating in the PACE program.
Meanwhile, at the advocacy level, the activities that have been carried out include hearings with the Regent of Bandung, H. M. Dadang Supriatna, S.I.P., M.Si. and the Head of the Bandung Regency Education Office, Drs. H. Ruli Hadiana, S. Sos., M. Ipol. In addition to providing reports on the PACE program in the last 6 months and informing the plan for a new project in Bandung Regency, CEO of Yayasan Care Peduli, Bonaria Siahaan encourages this PACE module to be integrated into the Education curriculum, so that it can continue to be used throughout Bandung Regency. The Regent gave a positive response and made a commitment to follow up with the extension of the agreement which will expire in February 2022.
