On Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 15:15 WIB, there was an eruption of Mount Semeru, located in Lumajang Regency, East Java. As of Tuesday, December 14, there have been 48 fatalities, 2,0004 cumulative outpatients of whom 18 are still being treated, and a total of 9,997 refugees affected by Mount Semeru Hot Clouds located at 148 points. In addition, more than 2,900 buildings were heavily damaged.

In times of emergency, women, the elderly, and people with disabilities are often the forgotten and disadvantaged group because of their marginal role in the environment and their difficult condition to carry out activities like others.
