The EKATA group is a group of empowered female garment workers assisted by YCP in the West Java area. After conducting a series of capacity building training, the EKATA group realized the importance of organizing to voice and fight for women’s rights to achieve gender equality and fight discrimination and sexual harassment and violence against women, so they took the initiative to form the EKATA Network, which is a forum for struggle and advocacy women’s group at the district level. The EKATA network has conducted several discussions in determining priority issues and strategic plans as a first step in their struggle.
