HANDOVER OF CLEAN WATER FACILITIES IN CENTRAL SULAWESI

Share it with others

On April 26 and 30, YCP handed over clean water facilities to the village government and basic equipment for the maintenance and management of clean water facilities to the Clean Water Committee of Sibalaya Utara Village, Baluase Village and Lambara Village, Sigi District, Central Sulawesi. This event is a part of the Construction and Rehabilitation of Clean Water Facilities with a Community-Based Gravity System, as part of the recovery program for the people of Central Sulawesi who were affected by the 2018 earthquake and tsunami. The disaster has damaged the clean water facilities in the village, and frequent floods have caused the springs to be buried in soil and rock materials. In addition, this program is also complemented by the formation and strengthening of Village Community-Based Water Committees. To maintain the sustainability of this program, YCP also advocates for the government to include Village Regulations for spring protection as well as in the RPJMD Sigi Regency in 2021-2026.
