Women-led Economic Business Groups in Musi Banyuasin Secure Supply Partnerships to Reach Wider Markets

Share it with others

Women-led economic business groups (KUEP) in Musi Banyuasin District secured 15 supply partnership agreements during a business matchmaking event (5/9). Three categories of products, which are palm-frond woven crafts, a variety of snacks including shredded meat and chips, and fresh produce of straw mushrooms, received a positive response from 15 business owners who agreed to market the women’s products in their stores on a consignment basis.

For the women groups, these agreements mark an important step toward bringing products they have been making from their homes and villages to a wider market. Products that have secured retail partners will be prepared according to the required quantities and undergo quality checks before being delivered. Market interest did not stop there. Seven other prospective business partners also expressed interest by requesting product samples to assess their quality and suitability against their standards, with the possibility of developing longer-term partnerships.
