The water depot in Jelenga, Beru Village, was inaugurated by the Deputy Head of West Sumbawa District, Fud Syaifuddin, S.T. M.M.Inov. (2/9). The depot has a production capacity of up to 159 gallons of water per day. The construction of this depot is part of the Beru Village government’s program funded by the Village Transformation Fund to support the reduction of stunting. The water produced is guaranteed to meet government standards. Through this depot, approximately 1,000 residents in the surrounding area have access to safe drinking water. The water used for production at the depot is sourced from two wells: a deep well constructed under the Community-Based Drinking Water and Sanitation Provision Program (PAMSIMAS) and a shallow well built by the CARE Indonesia (Yayasan CARE Peduli/YCP). This initiative is part of the stunting reduction acceleration program, a collaboration between Amman Mineral, the West Sumbawa Regency Government, and YCP.
Strengthening Leadership and Communication Skills for Garment Factory Management
Enhancing gender capacity among management is crucial to fostering an understanding of the importance of gender equality within the supply chain. This effort aims to create gender-responsive policies within the company. In celebration of Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day (August 30-31), a series of training sessions at PT Glory Industrial, a partner of the Gender Equality Network’s Flagship Program in Semarang, featured activities with employees. These included competitions and discussions designed to strengthen relationships and deepen understanding of the importance of involving all stakeholders in achieving workplace gender equality.
