Soul Sister for a Mangrove Conservation

Every year, Indonesia is projected to lose up to 30,000 hectares of mangrove forests due to degradation*. The loss of mangrove ecosystems leads to coastal erosion, the disappearance of wildlife habitats, and increased carbon emissions. These environmental changes contribute to climate change, significantly impacting women as one of the most vulnerable groups.

CARE Indonesia, in collaboration with its partners, supports women’s groups across the country in preserving mangroves. Through mangrove nurseries, reforestation efforts, coastal ecosystem management training, and the development of mangrove-based enterprises, women are empowered to protect nature while strengthening their communities.

Join us as a Soul Sister for a Mangrove Conservation, and take part in protecting our environment while promoting sustainable livelihoods!
