PROSPER II Toilet Construction at Serang Regency

The construction of toilet facilities for the PROSPER II program in Serang Regency in 4 public elementary schools in Serang Regency has been completed in early August 2021. The construction is located in Kibin District (SDN Ciwajik), Cikande District (SDN Cibeureum), Jawilan District (SDN Pasirbuyut 2) and Bandung District (SDN Saninten).

By applying the WASH standard, these toilets are built safer, more comfortable and cleaner for the health of students. Initially the toilets were behind the school, and now the new toilet facilities are in front of the school. In addition, the toilet consists of two parts, 2 toilet cubicles for women, as well as 1 closet cubicle and 1 urinal cubicle for men. Each section (male and female) is equipped with 1 sink unit and 3 ablution faucet units on the outside.

#GenerasiHebat – Educating the Young Generation of DKI Jakarta

Following the “kick off” of the #GenerasiHebat Program which aims to increase knowledge of drug control, HIV/AIDS, anti-bullying, and social media, which was held in December 2020, on 11, 12, 18, and 19 September 2021, peer extension training will be held for the students of SMAN 52 North Jakarta, SMAN 78 West Jakarta, SMKN 28 South Jakarta, SMAN 1 Central Jakarta, and MAN 15 East Jakarta.

The target of this program is the Training of Trainers (ToT) for 40 students from 6 schools, 60 accompanying teachers and school committee members. As a means of this training, in August 2021, training modules and pocket books have been completed which contain material on dealing with drugs, HIV/AIDS, anti-bullying and social media.

Media Briefing World Humanitarian Day 2021

Commemorating World Humanitarian Day on August 19, YCP conducted a Media Briefing to media colleagues virtually on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 with the theme strengthening the effectiveness of support for Indonesia’s vulnerable communities in the pandemic era. The purpose of this event is to invite all parties as citizens to take an important role in the slightest form to maintain and grow a spirit of solidarity with the humanitarian responsibility that lies on all of us.

The virtual event media briefing was opened by the CEO of YCP, Mrs. Bonaria Siahaan, then as the keynote speaker, Mr. Pangarso Suryotomo, Plt. Director of Preparedness at the Deputy for Prevention of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). There were three speakers in this panel discussion, namely Mrs. Alissa Wahid, National Director of Gusdurian Network Indonesia (GNI), Mr. Nelwan Harahap, Assistant Deputy for Post-Disaster Management of the Ministry of PKM, drg. Agus Sukmayadi, Head of the District Health Serang Regency with moderator T. Khairil Azmi as Head Humanitarian & Emergency Response Manager YCP.

There were 50 online media participants who attended the event. Overall, there were 64 media coverage of YCP after the Media Briefing event. It is hoped that this event will increase YCP’s online visibility at the local and national level.
