Gender Justice and Social Inclusion

Gender inequality remains to be a major issue in Indonesia. Women and girls more likely to take on underpaid or unpaid informal work and are vulnerable to poor treatment, sexual harassment and gender-based violence in general. Lack of protection of worker’s rights, gender inequality in the workplace, lack of job security for contract workers, as well as persistent poverty are still experienced by workers. Structural barriers also restrict women’s access to productive resources and exclude them from financial and other decision-making at household and community levels.

CARE Indonesia work to achieve an equal and inclusive access to services, protection of vulnerable groups, women and youth empowerment, freedom from violence, and dignified livelihood for all people.

Help us achieve a world that is equal for all genders. Give today to help women and girls reach their fullest potential tomorrow.
